TAF Priority Points For Academic Donations

Published March 8, 2017

Tiger Athletic Foundation, or TAF, has announced that it will now give priority point credit for gifts made to the LSU Health Sciences Foundation in Shreveport.

Beginning in 2017 priority point credit for philanthropic donations to the LSU Health Sceinces Foundation will be 1 point per $1,000 donated.

"This is an enormous change that will help philanthropic efforts across LSU," said LSU President F. King Alexander. "On behalf of the LSU Board of Supervisors, we are grateful to the TAF Board and appreciate their continued support of the university."

The PriorityPoint System is used to allocate opportunities for LSU fans to purchase certain tickets and parking passes to LSU athletic events based on giving to TAF and other LSU Affiliated Organizations, including the LSU Alumni Association, the LSU Foundation, and the LSU Health Sciences Foundation in New Orleans.

"TAF's Board of Directors and the Athletic Department are unanimous in their support of these changes to the priority point system," said Rick Perry, President and CEO of TAF. "We believe that these changes and the continued cooperation of our fundraising organizations will encourage private fundraising efforts and enhance academic opportunities for all students attending LSU, including LSU's student athletes."

Gifts made to the LSU Health Sciences Foundation in Shreveport beginning January 1, 2017 will be eligible for priority points. If you would like to receive credit for past or future gifts, please contact us with your TAF ID # by emailing tafid@lsuhsfoundation.org or calling 318-861-0855.
