The Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center Shreveport (LSUHSC Shreveport) will be hosting a paint splattered charity event in order to increase wellness in our community while benefiting the individuals that we serve in the Shreveport-Bossier area. LSUHSC Physicians recognize the value of social well-being and its relationship with physical and psychological health.  To this end, we hope to engage in a physically active day of bonding while making a financial donation towards a health-related quality improvement initiative for those that we serve.

This year, we will focus on improving blood pressure control in our community.  Poor blood pressure control has been linked to several conditions, including heart attacks, kidney disease and stroke.  Our hope is to improve blood pressure control by providing patients in need with blood pressure monitors at home to improve blood pressure monitoring.

This 1st annual day of fun will be held on the field of O.F.F. Limits and is truly a different way to give back to the community.
