The creation of two endowed professorships and two endowed scholarships was recently celebrated at a ceremony held by the LSU Health Sciences Foundation. The new endowments were made possible by many generous private gifts, as well as matching dollars from the Louisiana Board of Regents through its Endowed Professorship and Endowed Superior Graduate Student Scholarship Support Fund. A total of $120,000 was provided from these funds which provide direct support both to our faculty and students.
Mini Med School is scheduled for Tuesdays in September, September 4 - September 25, 2018.
The BioStart Program welcomed 8 new interns this week from the Biotechnology Magnet Program at Southwood High School. LSU Health Foundation is a major sponsor of the program with funds provided by our donors.
This afternoon we celebrated Dr. Joe McCulloch, Dean of the LSU Health School of Allied Health Professions, who will be retiring on June 30th . We are so thankful for him and all that he has done for our health sciences center over the past 38 years!

AT&T Louisiana recently presented a check to LSU Health Shreveport Foundation in sponsorship of An Evening for Healers 2018.
A generous $150,000 donation from the Zadeck Family Foundation establishes an endowed fund benefiting the new Center for Brain Health at LSU Health Shreveport.
LSU Health Shreveport students, faculty, and staff dedicated an entire week to saying, "Thank You!" to our many donors and supporters.
