More than 800 people gathered at An Evening for Healers on May 4 to honor 59 heroes who offered lifesaving care for patients Ray Snow and Christian Starks. Dramatic videos headlined the LSU Health Sciences Foundation's signature event, which was emceed by City of Shreveport Chief Administrative Officer Brian Crawford.

Now in its seventh year, An Evening for Healers has raised more than $1.5 Million for the LSU Health Sciences Center. Thank you to the many generous sponsors and guests who made the evening possible.

A message from Susan Moffitt
An Evening for Healers 2017 Chairperson

I invite you to join me in supporting LSU Health Shreveport Foundation’s annual event, An Evening for Healers, taking place on Thursday, May 4 at the Shreveport Convention Center.

I know, first-hand that how important it is to have an institution like LSU Health in our community. LSU brings internationally known physicians and researchers, within our reach. When my father was diagnosed with cancer, he could have gone to anywhere for his care. But Shreveport-Bossier City was his community, his home, and he chose to place his care in the hands of the amazing faculty at LSU. I could not be more grateful for the treatment he received and the level of care provided.

It became my father’s mission to give back to LSU Health Shreveport and ensure its long-lasting success. Now that he is gone, I gladly continue that mission. Will you join me?

I hope you will not only join me for this inspiring evening, but also consider becoming a sponsor.

Your sponsorship, needed now more than ever, will ensure investment in the world class patient care and education available at the LSU Health Shreveport. More than 70 percent of the physicians in our region studied or trained at LSU Health Shreveport. Please consider this an opportunity to help shape the future of healthcare and impact lives.

With many thanks,

Susan Moffitt
Event Chair
