Are you interested in a future career in medicine? Join Support for Humanitarianism through Intercontinental Projects (S.H.I.P.) for our Annual Pre-Med Day, hosted at LSU Health Shreveport Medical School, and experience what life in medicine is really like.

Designed for high school and college students across North Louisiana, this immersive, hands-on event offers participants a unique opportunity to explore the medical field in a real medical school setting. Throughout the day, students will rotate through interactive stations led by medical students and healthcare professionals, gaining both practical skills and insider insight into the journey to medical school.

Event highlights include:

  • Hands-on suturing workshops
  • Airway management and intubation simulations
  • Exclusive anatomy lab tour
  • Resume and personal statement workshops
  • Direct interaction with current medical students
  • Guidance on preparing for medical school and healthcare careers

Whether you are just beginning to explore medicine or are already committed to the pre-med path, S.H.I.P. Pre-Med Day is an invaluable opportunity to build skills, ask questions, and gain exposure that you won’t find in a classroom.

Space is limited, so we encourage early registration. Don’t miss your chance to learn, network, and take a meaningful step toward your future in medicine.

Register today and take your first step aboard S.H.I.P. toward a career in healthcare.
Note: Any registrations after March 25th will incur a late fee of $25.
