Faculty Rehabilitation Clinic at the LSU School of Allied Health

Richard Parks lost all hope of ever being able to walk again–until he began physical therapy at LSU Health’s Allied Health Faculty Rehabilitation Clinic. The specialized neurorehabilitation care he needed was only possible through collaboration with the clinic and our Center for Brain Health. In gratitude, Richard gave a $100,000 gift, creating the Charles Richard Parks Endowed Professorship in Neurological Rehabilitation.

Not that long ago, a traumatic brain injury or Parkinson’s disease diagnosis could sap you of your mobility, your coordination, and your freedom. Today, breakthroughs in neurorehabilitation technology give patients more than just hope—they give people their lives back. If we want to expand our clinics to serve even more deserving patients, we’ll need more cutting-edge rehabilitation technology. Your support helps us purchase new technology and make upgrades in our Faculty Rehabilitation Clinic.

“These physical therapists have never given up on me. My hope is that this professorship will support their important work for many years to come and ultimately help other people like me.” – Charles Richard Parks
